About Us
Our mission is to assist Cambodian youth who are at the greatest risk of being victims of abandonment, slavery, trafficking, and poverty. We aim to help them live lives of dignity; surrounded by compassion, education, wellness, and support.
At Cambodia Hope, we believe that all children and young people have the right to:
- Nutritional Meals
- Safe Shelter
- Education
- Protection from all forms of abuse
- The right to participate in their community in positive ways
- An opportunity to recognize and explore their individual talents and skills
Help You Can Help
You may or may not be exposed to a situation which could involve trafficking.
Signs to look for:
- People who lack English language skills who seem frightened to communicate with others on the job or elsewhere
- People whose freedom of movement seems curtailed, perhaps a housekeeper who never leaves a property, or only in the presence of her employer
- A child who is in a living situation that seems strange, one who does housework at odd hours, who does not play with other children or go to school, is living with a known pedophile
- Properties that seem designed to keep people in rather than intruders out
- People who seem physically and psychologically abused
- Brothels or massage parlors that pop up in residential areas with mostly foreign women or girls.
- A factory that seems to be peopled by workers that fit any of the above description.
- Migrant farm workers, and young female prostitutes who service them, although this would probably be hard to detect from the outside.
